Wedding Invitations I designed for my best friend's wedding.
She wanted them to be a "black and white" simple, clean and fun design, but still portray a sense of style and sophistication.
These are more of a prototype than a final design, as I'm sure they will want to make changes and such. I crafted an actual mock-up of the invitation, and it looked much better than on this simulated diagram. I will submit a photo of the final invites in time
I've always wanted to use vellum paper in a design, so I went all out, suffice to say...though, I also offered to produce and build them all, something I might regret later after about the 80th one haha! ^_^
That's what Catrina thought at first too, but when i made the actual mockup, it looked really awesome and I think the black border might constrain the light color of the paper...plus, I dont like borders but thanks for the comment! I wanted the card to be light and free feeling. All the panels at the top are attached by a ribbon tied through a hole-punched hole, so all the individual cards actually can swing a bit back and forth. There is no glue used in this design
i had fun designing our wedding invitations in class. Yea, i know what you mean by the hole punch, that's kind of what I did too. so much fun with all the different types of paper to play with
Sweet! I really like this! I always thought it would be fun to make wedding invitations by hand, but I guess it depends on how many need to be made!! Have fun
Tres pretty! I love the simplicity of it. Ivory is so beautiful, great colour choices, and I love the heart with the speckles... Wedding invites are fun... I've made a couple mock ups of ours, along with the favour boxes, I'll be making them by hand to save us a significant amount of coin... depending on how many invites there are, you may regret the offering - good luck! Great job, post a pic of your final product when you're all done
In this Community Operations Newsletter, I hope to provide an update of what's going on in Community Operations, and provide you with a tease of some projects which we are working on right now.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!
